| Case: | Benrus Military Dive Watch |
| Movement: | Bulova 17 jewels automatic movement |
| Crystal: | Dome shaped plastic crystal |
| Dial and hands: | Marathon field watch with gaseous tritium vials |

Randy sent me an empty Benrus military dive watch case and broken Marathon field watch for his very own hybrid watch. My watchmaker, Mr. Chung, fitted his favorite Bulova automatic movement and installed the tritium vial equipped Marathon dial and hands. As you can see, the resulting piece looks like a steel cased Marathon navigator on steroids! The bezel insert is a bit dirty but I left it as it is.

I've placed it side by side with a 1990 issue Marathon navigator for comparison. Benrus hybrid is placed at left while Marathon navigator at right. The Marathon navigator is also a hybrid in that it is installed with the dial and hands from Marathon's latest quartz field watch, which has an orange tritium tube at 12 and US Government inscription above 6 o'clock. Bulova automatic movement is installed on that watch as well. Enjoy the photos!
