Here's a hybrid dive watch for Bill. It was made from Blandford Squale I got from Stefan. He also provided me with genuine Bund issue heavy leather strap. Very solid feeling. My watchmaker, Mr. Chung, fitted his favorite 17 jewel hacking Bulova automatic movement and installed a screw-down crown for better water resistance. Caseback was screw down type. The original hands had metal edges. I had them painted in white instead and re-applied the luminous paint. This hybrid watch is quite unlike the hybrids I had created up until now in that it has sort of an artificial "wabi" feeling. The scratches and dings on the case and bezel looks as though it went through many ops and underwater diving. The resulting piece looks like a mixture of Bund issue Blancpain and Vietnam-era Benrus dive watch!
