This is the third Ruhla hybrid project. Case used for donation is Miltek dive watch, the civilian version of Ruhla NVA combat dive watch. The original Miltek dial followed the tradition of Ruhla in that it was very tacky looking. I had it replaced with a Sandy 490 dial this time. I find the absence of date window to be more in accordance with true military watches. It also has the benefit of having a well balanced dial layout and less prone to failure due to simpler movement than those with date feature.

Original flat mineral crystal was replaced with a very thick domed acryllic crystal. You've got to see it in person to really appreciate the beauty of this crystal. The watch also had a canteen crown system but Mr.Chung modified it so that the crown would not fall off. In other words, the big crown screws and unscrews but also sets the time, just like regular screw down crown found on dive watches. It is properly sealed and water tight. There is no markings found on the caseback.
